Saturday Sun + Saturday Six Miles + Wedding Planning

Another weekend has come and almost gone, but Saturday was nice and cozy!

I started out the morning with a nice and easy 6 miles. Surprisingly my legs weren’t too sore from Friday’s track, just a little tired. Things are starting to click!

I pass by Six Flags Fiesta Texas some mornings, depending on my route, and decided to snap a picture yesterday!

We still haven’t been since moving to San Antonio, but it’s on my bucket list! I mean, we live pretty much across the street! I’m the front row roller coaster type, but Lynn doesn’t like heights/chance of falling. We shall see if it ever happens!

Once I got home, I got cleaned up and we went downstairs and ordered some Starbucks! Lynn got 6 shots of espresso in her mocha, holy cow! I saw the picture below, thought it was funny, and it’s pretty true when you think about it!

We sat outside for three hours and talked about wedding, bachelorette, etc!

We are doing the bachelorette together in New Orleans! It’s going to be a blast! It’s pretty cool that we get to celebrate together and with around 10 of our best friends!

After our fun wedding chit chat, we changed into swimsuits and went down to the pool for some Saturday sun. We chatted more, and then laid out for a bit. I got more inspiration from my current favorite motivational book To Be a Runner. If you haven’t read this book, click link above and get a copy. It makes me fall in love with running even more with each chapter. All. The. Feels.

Lynn trying to look cute while talking to me in the pool. She succeeded.

Lynn pulled out my Yuengling Shamrock Marathon finisher towel to take to the pool. I really enjoyed that race although I wish I would’ve been better trained. I bonked a bit the second half. I’d like to go back and crush that course in the next few years!

We saw some beautiful flowers outside our apartment. They were bigger than my kind bar!

I made crab cakes for dinner, and they were delicious. Haven’t had those in forever and they were great with salad and Brussels Sprouts!

Hope your weekend has been great!

Questions –

– What are some finisher gear you’ve received from races?

– Have any upcoming 4th of July plans?

– What is your favorite coffee drink?

  1. Lol @ the $tarbuck$ meme.

Thanks to an old episode of King of the Hill, I learned Six Flags is called Six Flags.

My favorite finishing gear was a bottle opener medal … that I cannot find.

    1. Glad you found humor in the Starbucks meme. I like how you used dollar signs too πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Bottle opener medal that can’t find? Maybe you opened up too many bottles after?! Kidding! Thanks for sharing!!!!

      1. I may have used the medal one time to open a bottle; I probably lost it while moving. Normally, I use my trusty keychain bottle opener that I’ve had since 2001 for my bottle opening duties. Now, I just realized if my keychain bottle was a person, it would be able to vote. God, I’m old. πŸ˜‰

I want to hear from you! Please leave me a comment.... or three!
